Milo Mannino
Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, Milo has been playing his trumpet in The Big Easy and Columbus, Ohio for the past 45 years. Milo and his family relocated to Ohio in November 2006 to manage music stores and develop a musical presence in the Columbus area. Go, Bucks!
Leading his own groups, including the North Columbus Big Band, formally the Crescent River Big Band, Milo has performed and worked with great artists like Smokey Robinson, Four Tops, Anne Murray, Connie Francis, Bobby Vinton, Al Martino, Regis Philbin, Milton Berle, Don Rickles, Joan Rivers, Shirley Jones, and Keely Smith (wife & sidekick to Louis Prima). Recent performances include the Columbus Arts Festival, London Ribs Jazz Festival, Upper Arlington Music in the Parks Concert Series, and was featured at the Columbus Museum of Art's Jazz Master Series.
Currently, Milo can be heard performing with several groups in the Columbus area including Vaughn Wiester's - Famous Jazz Orchestra, The High Street Stompers, Cap City Swing and The Ramblers - New Orleans Infused Jazz!
Cherie Mannino
A native of New Orleans, born and raised in the Lower Ninth Ward on the bank of the Mississippi River, Cherie has enjoyed an exciting professional singing career in New Orleans, Los Angeles, Columbus, and abroad. Her vocal experiences include performances with timeless greats, including Tony Bennett, and singing backup for jazz icons, Keely Smith, Rosemary Clooney, and pop diva, Linda Ronstadt.
Cherie's vocal chops have been recognized with awards at Southeast Jazz competitions. Public performances include Snug Harbor, Tipatina’s, House of Blues, as well as the N.O. Jazz and Heritage Festival, French Quarter Festival, Columbus Arts Festival, Ginger Rabbit, Natalie's, and the list goes on. Her vibrant, soulful singing style is a true delight for jazz and blues fans alike.
In each performance, Cherie's love of the music, her sense of humor and her heartfelt expression has made her a local favorite in New Orleans and Columbus. Having lived in Columbus for the past 20 years, Cherie is grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the exciting, vibrant music community.
In addition to Cap City Swing, Cherie can be heard singing with several groups in the Columbus area, including North Columbus Big Band, Shoutin’ Sisters, The Ramblers & 3CatSwing.
